Happy Birthday Bryan

May is a bit busier for us because there are two birthdays in our home. First Ty and then Bryan. Bryan took the day off--it was a Friday and when Lucas came home from school the two of them went to Boondocks. Lucas was able to drive a go-cart and he absolutely loved it. They played video games and played a round of laser tag. Bryan was the only adult and so of course their team won.

Ty and I met Bryan and Lucas at Chili's for dinner where we were able to relax and enjoy the chips and salsa. After, we went home and sang happy birthday with blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream. (Unfortunately, only Bryan likes blueberry pie. So he got pie and the rest of us had ice cream Sundays.)

Bryan got some great gifts this year, an IPod Touch from me, a PS3 racing game from the boys, and some accessories for this IPod Touch. We don't buy a lot during the year so birthdays and Christmas in our home is a super fun time. Each of us looks forward to getting something new!

It was a great birthday!

Now next year will be 40 for Bryan. Any ideas on what we should do? Maybe a surprise party? I don't know if he would like that....

My New Toy

For my birthday I got an Ipod Touch. We didn't take any pictures of me with it on my birthday but here is one from the other day. I've spent the last month learning how to use it and having fun. My favorite thing is watching 15 minutes of one of my favorite movies right before I go to bed. I just finished 'North and South', (Not the 80's TV movie with Patrick Swayze) one of BBC's all time greats. The only problem is that my bedtime has now gone from 11:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. 15 minutes often turns into 45 minutes.

I love the Ipod!

Lucas Turns 7

Lucas had his 7th birthday on Sunday. He was so excited that morning and church was extra hard to get through. He just wanted to come home and open his presents. We got home from church at noon and had his special birthday dinner. He chose ham, rolls, and rice (with soy sauce). Then we sang happy birthday to him and he got to open up all his presents.
Here he is with everything he got. He played all Sunday afternoon with his new army toys and can't wait to wear the BYU stocking hat to the game on Saturday. He is such a great kid and we are so happy to have him in our home! Happy birthday Lucas!

Lucas' Birthday

Saturday was Lucas' birthday. We had so much fun. It was a Star Wars themed party--the kids were invited to come to Jedi Training. Bryan was in charge of the games and he did a great job. He taught them how to fight with lightsabers--he even made a Darth Vador as you can see in this picture.

They threw water balloons out a window on the second story and tried to hit one of the tie fighters, or Death Star, or General Grevious' face that was drawn below on our driveway.

Then they watched an episode of "The Clone Wars", a new cartoon that is on T.V. once a week. I think everyone had a great time.

We had pizza for lunch, then cupcakes and ice cream. Lucas got some fun new toys to play with from all his friends. Later that night Bryan and I gave him our gift--a razor scooter. What a fun day!
