At night before Lucas goes to sleep he likes to play with a few of his toys in his bed. The problem with this is that he started staying up way too late. We knew we had to do something to help him go to sleep at night before 9:30. He has an egg timer that we use to help him get ready for bed quickly and we decided to use it to remind him it was time to sleep. So I started setting it for 15 minutes, telling him to lay down when it dinged and go to sleep. The first few nights went great. Then we noticed that it was taking longer then it should to ding. "It's broken." Bryan and I decided. We tested it and it did seem to be a little slow but not too bad. Then the next night I was on the computer and Lucas came to the top of the stairs. He wanted to tell me something but didn't want Bryan to hear him. I told him to tell me anyway, Bryan was in the family room, that his dad could hear what he needed to say. He wouldn't tell me. Later I went up to tuck him in and he told me, "Mom the timer isn't broken. I just wanted more time to play so I kept setting it back." I wanted to laugh but instead I just listened to him and then told him from now on we'll set the timer and then I'll take it with me. He confessed to Bryan the next day. Bryan and I have had a good laugh but we haven't let Lucas know how funny he is.
Ty has so much hair. People keep coming up to me just to say, "Wow, he has a lot of hair!". He is so cute and it always makes Bryan and I sad that our mothers are missing these fun times with him. He changes so fast. He is such a happy and good baby!

I love Lucas' confession. It's moments like that you just can't help but love being a parent.
I can't believe how much hair Ty has. It is SO cute. I can see why people stop you just to say it. He has a sweet smile too.
You can tell he and Lucas are brothers but they aren't carbon copies. How FUN!!

Lucas is a smart boy. I think that he should be rewarded with that for an extra 30 min. of play time each night. :) I can say that because he isn't mine.
I love Ty's hair as well. I actually didn't recognize his picture when I saw it. We must need to get together more often.
