Volleyball Game

Last weekend we were able to go to a BYU volleyball game. We had lots of fun! Before the game we went to the Brick Oven for dinner.
We were able to go with Grandma Garner, Aunt Stephanie, Aunt Denise, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Jennilynn, Joelle, and Addie. Lucas loves volleyball games! The first thing he wanted to do when we got home was put up the new poster he got at the game. Ty did much better at this game then he did at the last basketball game we went to. He didn't cry when everyone screamed! He's improving! We did leave early because Ty got so tired but Lucas was able to stay the whole game with Grandma and Steph and Denise. Lucas was so excited because BYU won and he got to see it.

Friday night after the Garner women got together I went out with Stephanie, Denise, and my friend Elisa. I don't think I would have done this typically but my sisters were here and I decided to go have some fun with them. So here we all are at 11:30 at night at WalMart.

You may ask, "What were we doing at WalMart that late at night in a huge crowd?" Well, here comes my sick fascination with all things Twilight. The DVD came out that night and one of the "supporting cast members" was going to be at WalMart. But not just any WalMart, the WalMart five minutes from my home. What are the odds? They sent cast members to five cities and Salt Lake was one of them, or should I say Riverton Utah was one of them. So we went, we had fun, and we kept laughing that we actually went. The cast member that came turned out to be the actress that played Victoria.

We had a hard time getting close enough to take a picture but here is one that Denise took. There was a huge line for autographs and I don't really care for that unless it's a copy of a book signed by the author. So we didn't wait in line but did finally get up front to see her. I guess she got through the whole line, signed autographs until 2 A.M.

As we left that night I thought about this girl and other actresses and actors. How weird would it be to be in a movie and have all these crazy people taking your picture and yelling and shouting at you? No wonder some in Hollywood start to think they are something special! I'm sure she is nice and we are all "special" but still, this has to be a freaky experience. Anyway, I had fun being out with my sisters and Elisa. The funny thing is that none of us even bought the movie that night. I don't get my copy until my birthday in a few weeks. I did find a couple of Nascar cars for Lucas. Bryan brings him one home after each business trip. It was started by Grandpa Garner and Scott and Bryan giving him a FedEx car. So the evening was fun and I got to do something unique with my sisters.

The Garner Women

Friday night the Garner women met at my cousin Camille's home. It was so fun to see everyone, to visit, and to eat lots of good food. I really do have a great family and I feel very lucky and blessed to be associated with these women. As I look at this picture I've been thinking how wonderful it is that we are all so strong in the gospel. Each of us has had trials and different challenges but we have maintained our faith. As I talk to others around me I know this is not generally the case with many families. I have such great examples surrounding me! I missed those who couldn't come but I know we'll get together again. I especially missed Natalia. It will never seem right that she isn't there but I like to think she knew what we were up to and maybe popped in for a quick peak.

Spring is Here

It has been so nice and sunny the last few days. I love it. Even though I'm in the house most of the time it's so nice to walk outside and not need a coat or a heavy sweater. Bryan started working on the garden boxes today. This one will be for peas and whatever else we decide to put into it. I'm so excited to have fresh tomatoes and basil again. Of course it will still be a few months before I get those but it's nice to get started on the process.

No Helmet

Monday we went back to Fit Well and Ty got to take off his helmet!! We actually could have left it on for one more month and it was possible he could have improved a bit more. We decided he looked fine. Plus, on the scale they use, 1 to 10, he was a 3. Before the helmet he was a 5 1/2 so he improved quite a bit. Just so you know 1 to 3 is in the normal range and they have told us that no one has a zero. Almost everyone has a bit of a misshaped head. Anyway, we are happy to have have Ty back with no helmet and he is still just as cute as before.
He is crawling now and doing great! He will no longer walk for us. Whenever we try to get him to walk he sits down. He will walk along furniture but has decided that crawling is good enough--unless he can get one of us to hold his hand while he walks and then he'll go anywhere.
